8. Your New Years resolution.

I want to read a book every month. Good books. Ones that really expand my mind and make me reflect. I think that a lot of my problems exist due to my poor perception of myself concerning more than looks. My intelligence, my skills and ability to do well, my overall personality. I hope that reading will help me slow down. I’m constantly moving so quickly. I need to think more and do less. Reading is giving myself personal time and I need to start putting myself first. I’m hoping reading can be a small step towards this. At the end of the year, I hope that I’ll have more confidence and inner strength.

7. 5 people you have come close with.

1. The Jerminator. We have had are highs and lows in 2011. We have challenged each other and succeeded thus far! I’ve seen true love in my grandparents and I hope to emulate that with you. You are my strength when I panic and my backbone when i let others walk all over me. Here’s to another year together!

2. My mom. I was never truthful with you because I was always ashamed of things concerning boyfriends or whatever. This year, I learned that my friends are amazing, but it’s my mother that will always be my best friend and biggest supporter. I’ve opened up to you about love, how you “know,” and everything in between.

3. Irana. You have been the best friend any Deepher could ask for. When everyone else dropped off the face of the planet, you still tool the time to talk to me everyday and ask how I’m doing. Honestly, you’re one of the main reasons why I stayed sane in 2011. I hope that I was just a good of a friend to you as you have been to me.

4-5. I’ve fallen apart from many of my friends. I think that’s a part of life and finishing college. There weren’t many people that I’ve gotten closer with but sadly many that I’ve grown farther from. Let’s see where 2012 takes me.

6. A list of things you want to change in the new year.

1. The amount of money I spend on materialistic things. I’m cutting you off, Victoria (well, not completely).
2. However, I really need to change my wardrobe.
3. I’d like to finish a book each month.
4. My perception of my body.
5. I want to limit my drinking to 2-3 times a week.

5. A photo of yourself at the start of the year.

This was taken last new years. I want to say it was one of the first of 2011. I’m looking forward to starting 2012 with this handsome man.

4. Write a letter to someone you grew apart from this year.

SINDY DINH!

We went from talking almost everyday, giggling in class, complaining about teachers, working on last minute projects, cramming for and writing down exam notes, and all Deepher events to barely talking at all.

I never know when you’re in Canada or not. We randomly saw each other at an Alum Deepher event that I didn’t know about but coincidentally was there for Ilana’s graduation. And I’m terribly sad about it. I know that people grow apart when they graduate college and go their separate ways. But I definitely want to keep in touch. I know you randomly stalk my stuff, so I expect you to read this and text me immediately (because I got a new phone and lost your number). HAHA!

Start getting back on AIM more often. I look for you! Love and miss you.

Kate

3. Your New Years plans.

Fells for the night at Broadway. Drinks and hor’devours with Jerm, Irana, and friends. :)

I’m wearing this dress only in black and gold. Haven’t tried it on yet though. Hope it fits well!
